Album: ALLBLACK – Born To Score
Oakland-hailing MC ALLBLACK is done being humble. Born to Score is about as self-explanatory an album title as you can get, and though its premise is a far cry from the modesty of 2021’s TY4FWM (thank you for fucking with me), the MC’s hunger and effortless cool remain intact. Born to Score is a treasure trove of both sports analogies and Oakland-originating game-spitting, BLACK proving himself to be one of his region’s most under-heralded talents. Along for the ride are a small heap of ALLBLACK’s personal favourite MCs, names like Cash Kidd, Bfb Da Packman, BabyTron, Jay Worthy, DUSTY LOCANE and the project’s lone OG, Curren$y, all of whom are also revered for putting points on the board.
