Zlatan – Omo Ologo – EP
With the follow up to 2021’s Resan, Nigerian street-hop singer and rapper Zlatan continues his mission to use his own journey to motivate others, while embracing a variety of sounds. “‘Omo Ologo’ is a Yoruba phrase,” Zlatan tells Apple Music. “‘Omo’ means ‘child’; ‘Ogo’ means ‘glory’. I call myself a glorious child because of where I'm coming from. It's generally used for people that are successful in whatsoever they're doing, be it dancing, acting, being a banker, holding a corporate job, whatever. So whatsoever you're doing, if you're good at it, you're an ‘Omo Ologo’. No ordinary people from [my hometown] actually get to where I've gotten to, so this is me glorifying God for making me come this far.” Here, he breaks down the EP, track by track.
